Registration & Refund Policy
Last updated: 1 October 2026
This Registration & Refund Policy applies to registrations, award nominations and other paid participation in the MSME & Startup Innovation Summit unless separate written commercial terms apply.
Registration Confirmation
A registration is considered confirmed only after:
- The required registration information has been submitted; and
- Applicable payment has been successfully received or otherwise confirmed by the Summit team.
A confirmation may be sent by email, WhatsApp or another official communication channel.
Delegate Registration
Delegate registration fees cover access and benefits specifically mentioned under the applicable registration category.
Unless otherwise stated during registration:
- Registrations are for the named participant
- Registration fees are not refundable for a participant’s change of plans or non-attendance
- A registration may be transferred to another representative from the same organisation, subject to prior written approval
- Transfer requests should preferably be made at least 5 working days before the event
Any difference in registration category or applicable charges may need to be settled before the transfer is approved.
Award Nomination Fees
Where a particular nomination programme is expressly offered with a “refund if not shortlisted” condition:
- The applicable nomination fee will be refunded if the nomination is not shortlisted
- Where the nomination is shortlisted, the fee will be treated or adjusted in accordance with the participation terms displayed at the time of nomination
Any taxes, gateway charges or other statutory deductions will be handled in accordance with applicable payment and tax requirements.
Submission of a nomination does not guarantee shortlisting or an award.
Sponsorship and Exhibition Payments
Payments relating to sponsorships, exhibitions, partnerships, branding packages or customised participation are governed by the applicable proposal, invoice, confirmation or signed agreement.
Unless otherwise provided in those written terms, such payments become non-refundable once the participation has been formally confirmed and corresponding event inventory, branding, speaking opportunity, exhibition space or resources have been allocated.
Non-Attendance
No refund will ordinarily be provided where a registered participant:
- Does not attend the Summit
- Arrives late
- Leaves early
- Is unable to attend for personal or business reasons
- Fails to obtain required travel or internal organisational approvals
A permitted transfer to another representative may be requested instead.
Event Rescheduling
If the Summit is rescheduled by the organiser, confirmed registrations will automatically remain valid for the revised date.
Where a registered participant is genuinely unable to attend the revised date, a written refund request may be submitted within the timeline communicated in the rescheduling notice.
Alternatively, the registration may be transferred or carried forward where such an option is offered.
Event Cancellation by the Organiser
If the Summit is cancelled by Summentor Pro and no replacement date or equivalent participation option is offered, eligible registration payments will be refunded.
Approved refunds will normally be processed within 60 days from confirmation of the refund.
The actual credit to the participant’s account may depend on the bank, payment gateway or payment method used.
Programme or Speaker Changes
Changes to speakers, government representatives, dignitaries, panel members, programme timing or individual sessions will not normally constitute event cancellation and will not automatically create an entitlement to a refund.
The Summit will make reasonable efforts to maintain the overall purpose and quality of the programme.
Force Majeure
If an event is affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including government restrictions, natural disasters, security concerns, public emergencies, strikes or similar circumstances, the Summit may be:
- Rescheduled
- Relocated
- Delivered in a modified format
- Carried forward
- Cancelled
The available refund, transfer or credit options will depend on the circumstances, contractual commitments already incurred and applicable law.
How Refunds Are Processed
Where a refund has been approved:
- It will normally be returned through the original payment method wherever reasonably possible
- Processing timelines may depend on banks and payment gateways
- Applicable transaction or gateway charges already levied by third parties may not always be recoverable
- GST or other tax treatment will be handled in accordance with applicable law
Requesting a Refund or Transfer
Requests should be sent in writing to:
Email: info@summentorpro.com
Please include:
- Participant name
- Organisation
- Registered email/phone number
- Registration or invoice reference
- Reason for the request
- Payment details/reference where applicable
Submitting a request does not automatically mean that a refund is approved.
